TRUTH: The Endangered Word

TRUTH: The Endangered Word

Age of innocence,
Say it the way it is,
Words flow with ease;
Then life takes away the innocence,
Your aye becomes nay
And your nay becomes yea,
The world to please.

Tell the truth,
The world is confused,
Your honesty it can’t understand;
Then it takes a stand,
It labels you confused,
It’s ego to soothe.

Tempers rising,
Anger boiling,
Love and affection failing,
Envy and jealousy rising,
Against the one who upholds “Truth”;
The endangered word.
